Job Summary As a Remote Medical Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will play a critical role in ensuring our Members have access to the care they need. You will act as a liaison between our Members, healthcare providers, and health plans, resolving access barriers and promoting health education. Your expertise and experience will help us deliver exceptional customer service, identify systemic issues, and develop solutions to improve the overall healthcare experience. Key Responsibilities Member Advocacy: Serve as a primary point of contact for our Members, advocating on their behalf to ensure they receive the care they need. Establish a community presence, promote Member education, and identify and resolve systemic barriers that limit access to care. Complaint Resolution: Receive and respond to Member complaints and formal grievances, identifying potential access barriers and resolving them according to our grievance procedure. Access and Cultural Sensitivity: Investigate and resolve access and cultural sensitivity issues identified by Member Services staff, State staff, providers, advocacy organizations, and recipients. Community Engagement: Participate in local community organizations to acquire knowledge and insight regarding the special healthcare needs of our Members. Update and revise educational materials as necessary. Collaboration and Communication: Serve as a primary contact for Member advocacy groups, human services agencies, and State entities. Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines. Essential Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience: 3 years of customer service experience in a healthcare environment. Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health records. Preferred Qualifications Medicare and/or Medicaid Experience: Previous experience working with Medicare and/or Medicaid programs. Bilingual: Fluency in Spanish.
