Key Responsibilities Policy Management: Update member information accurately and promptly in electronic portals, handle policy termination requests, process policy terminations effectively, and manage policy reinstatements. Health Coverage: Update information about coverage plans, including eligibility, benefits, limitations, and exclusions, conduct thorough research to locate insurance plans for healthcare providers, and escalate any duplicates or issues regarding plan coverage to supervisors. Data Entry: Perform data entry tasks with precision and efficiency in IDX and health plan portals, utilizing your knowledge of medical terminology and coding to enhance data accuracy. Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze and interpret healthcare insurance verification and enrollment information, identifying trends and patterns to inform process improvements. Confidentiality and Compliance: Adhere strictly to confidentiality policies and safeguard sensitive member information, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Experience: At least one (1) year of experience in claims examination, health insurance, customer service, call center, medical office, or other healthcare-related field. Skills: Strong computer experience, excellent typing skills, ability to adhere to daily schedules and duties, demonstrated strong organizational skills, and detail-oriented with a commitment to meeting deadlines. Knowledge: Medical terminology, ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding, and health claims process flows. Preferred Qualifications In addition to the essential qualifications, the following preferred qualifications will be advantageous: Experience: Strong computer experience, including data entry, screen navigation, and keyboarding.
