We are now seeking an experienced and skilled Remote Healthcare Data Entry Specialist to join our team, working on a 4-6 month contract basis. A Day in the Role As a Remote Healthcare Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in processing various medical documents, including Independent Medical Reviews. Your primary responsibilities will include: Extracting data from medical documents and entering it into our electronic database using Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Word Working independently and in partnership with other team members to ensure that questions are addressed, documented, and cases are returned in a timely fashion Using critical thinking steps to determine next steps and reaching out to clients via phone to obtain missing information Providing excellent customer service and client coordination over the phone, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner Working in a metrics/quota-driven environment, meeting productivity and quality standards, and continuously improving your performance Key Responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for: Processing medical documents in a timely and accurate manner, meeting productivity and quality standards Providing exceptional customer service and client coordination, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner Working collaboratively with other team members to ensure that questions are addressed, documented, and cases are returned in a timely fashion Using critical thinking steps to determine next steps and reaching out to clients via phone to obtain missing information Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need: At least 1 year of remote work experience, with a proven track record of working independently and managing your time effectively A High School Diploma or equivalent, with a strong foundation in mathematics and computer skills Previous experience working in a metrics-based environment, with a focus on productivity and quality standards Experience in healthcare, insurance, or claims, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and electronic medical records Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word, with excellent data entry skills and attention to detail Reliable high-speed internet and a computer or laptop (no Chromebooks) for use in this role Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members via phone and email Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience working in a healthcare or medical setting, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and electronic medical records Previous experience working with Independent Medical Reviews or similar medical documents Certification in medical coding or billing, with a strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on productivity and quality standards Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Attention to detail : with a focus on accuracy and quality in data entry and medical document processing Organizational skills : with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage your time effectively, and meet productivity and quality standards Communication skills : with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with clients and team members via phone and email Technical skills : with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word, and the ability to learn new software and systems quickly Problem-solving skills : with the ability to use critical thinking steps to determine next steps and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our team members.
