Key Responsibilities As a Database Analyst at arenaflex, your primary responsibilities will include: Investigating and resolving normal database issues and performing disaster recovery tasks to ensure data integrity and system uptime. Performing routine database support activities, such as file maintenance, backups (full, differential, and log backups), creating and monitoring SQL jobs, and SQL Server troubleshooting. Maintaining and updating the database with accurate and timely information related to UPS shipments and deliveries, ensuring data quality and compliance with organizational standards. Collaborating with the team to identify and implement process improvements, optimizing database performance, and ensuring seamless data flow. Developing and maintaining technical documentation of database systems, procedures, and processes. Required Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should possess: A strong foundation in database management, with the ability to investigate and resolve database issues and perform disaster recovery tasks. Experience with performing routine database support activities, including file maintenance, backups, and SQL Server troubleshooting. Knowledge of database sizing and performance tuning practices, with the ability to optimize database performance and ensure efficient data processing. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with the team and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent education and work experience. A strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively with the team to achieve common goals. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS SQL technology, with the ability to leverage cloud-based services to optimize database performance and scalability. Ability to develop PowerShell scripts, automating routine tasks and improving process efficiency. Experience with SQL AOG and database mirroring, with the ability to ensure high availability and data redundancy.
