Job Overview As a Remote Data Entry Specialist at blithequark, you will play a critical role in our team by accurately and efficiently transferring confidential data from various formats into our billing software. Key Responsibilities Transfer confidential data from paper and/or electronic formats into billing software (Timeslips) using a keyboard, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. Type in data provided directly from staff, maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency. Verify data by comparison and generating reports, identifying and correcting any errors or discrepancies. Sort and organize paperwork (electronic and hard copy) following data entry, ensuring that all documents are properly filed and easily accessible. Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. The following qualifications are required: High School Diploma or equivalent required, demonstrating a strong foundation in basic skills and knowledge. Prior work experience in data entry, preferably in a medical, legal, or insurance claims office, although not essential. Typing proficiency, with a preferred level of at least 45 words per minute (wpm) accuracy and no errors, ensuring that you can work efficiently and effectively. Some understanding of the internal processes of medical facilities and med-legal terminology, although training will be provided to support your development. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience working in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve errors or discrepancies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff. Familiarity with billing software and electronic health records, although training will be provided to support your development.
