Primary Duties and Responsibilities As a Remote Customer Service Representative at blithequark, your primary duties will include: Engaging in heavy phone contact with policyholders, providers, and interested third parties to address inquiries, resolve issues, and provide policy information. Processing policyholder requests received through various channels, including correspondence, phone calls, and emails, in a timely and efficient manner. Reviewing and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of new and revised procedures related to policy information to ensure accuracy and compliance. Maintaining department standards for call volume, average handle time, and time management to ensure high productivity and quality service. Utilizing excellent communication, both written and oral, and organization skills to provide clear and concise information to policyholders and internal stakeholders. Demonstrating strong decision-making skills, analyzing situations, and making logical conclusions to resolve customer inquiries and issues effectively. Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A high school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred. At least one year of office experience, with telecommunications experience being a plus. A background in life and health insurance and knowledge of insurance operations, although not required, are highly desirable. Excellent customer service skills, with a proven ability to handle high-stress situations calmly and professionally. Strong communication, both written and oral, and organization skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality. Basic PC skills, with the ability to type at least 30 words per minute. Reliable and predictable attendance, with the ability to work full-time and/or part-time based on the specific position. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly preferred: Bilingual skills (English/Spanish), with a pay differential available for bilingual employees. Previous experience in a remote work environment, with a dedicated home office or quiet workspace. High-speed internet (20mbps/upload) and a smartphone, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
