About the Role This role is a member of the Payments and Digital Process team within the blithequark Credit Union. The position is responsible for day-to-day operations related to check processing, item processing, direct payments, and funds transfers at blithequark Credit Union. As a Remote Customer Service Representative, you will be the face of blithequark, providing exceptional customer service to our clients and ensuring their needs are met in a timely and professional manner. Key Responsibilities Complete information entry and adjusting capabilities Coordinate return items with individuals, outside merchants, the Central Bank, and different institutions Assist different departments with fraud detection, member requests, and related Accounting general ledger reconciliations Work on member cases/activities assigned Follow and maintain policies and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA rules and regulations and Government Banking laws Process advance payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other checks, such as IRA, bankruptcy, and result checks Review, analyze, and support Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products Log, research, and make necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns Process Stop Pays and Check Collections Complete daily balancing and branch closing Acquire information from members for the convenient and accurate processing of international and domestic funds transfer requests Research and verify incoming and outgoing funds transfer data Communicate with vendors to handle funds transfers Understand and be aware of incoming and outgoing funds transfer regulations Store check returns, research member returned checks on draft changes, process member checks, verify members for friendly funds transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and sending funds transfers Complete daily processing of workflows related to late returns, source of receipts, foreign collections, and legal charges Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: Bachelor's Degree Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word skills Ability to work extended hours in support of business needs Ability to exercise excellent customer service skills Ability to act in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and function as an integral part of a team Ability to perform numerical calculations and analyze data Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines under high volume pressure Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Past customer/member service experience Past banking or Credit Union experience Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) acquired through either work experience with the software or education and active use of the software Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
