Job Overview As a Remote Chat Consultant at blithequark, you will be the primary point of contact for our customers, handling incoming sales and customer service-related chats, emails, and phone calls. Your goal will be to provide top-notch service, resolve customer inquiries and issues efficiently, and maximize sales opportunities while promoting our brand in a positive light. Key Responsibilities Handle incoming sales and customer service-related chats, emails, and phone calls, focusing on solving customer problems on the first attempt Utilize salesmanship to maximize sales opportunities, meet sales goals, and expectations, while suggesting products and providing lighting and home décor solutions that benefit both the company and the customer Demonstrate empathy and understanding when handling customer concerns, presenting blithequark in a positive light at all times Prevent customer returns and ensure customer retention through reasonable negotiations, providing solutions that benefit both the company and the customer Contact customers via phone when possible to resolve inquiries and issues in a timely manner, and provide proactive follow-up to all customer inquiries via phone or email Document a complete summary of customer inquiries, actions taken, and expectations set forth on the respective order, maintaining high standards of quality and service Partner with management on escalated customer and product issues, identifying trends and communicating them to management in measurable terms Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating self-confidence and a desire to go the extra mile to create a positive customer experience every time Essential Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of customer service, administrative, or retail background, with call center experience being a plus Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate details to customers in a professional and calm manner Computer literate, with the ability to navigate through programs and windows, and excellent typing and data entry skills Able to multi-task, talk on the phone, and type notes at the same time, with effective problem-solving skills Must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays, with regular job attendance required in accordance with a regular schedule established for the position by the supervisor Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a remote or home-based customer service role, with a proven track record of success Knowledge of home décor and lighting solutions, with the ability to provide expert advice and guidance to customers Experience with sales and customer service software, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and communicate them to management in measurable terms Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
