Job Overview The Chat Moderator position is a part-time, remote, and flexible role that plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our Discord server. Investigate reports made by users regarding rule violations, taking appropriate action to resolve issues promptly and fairly. Stay up-to-date with our community guidelines, rules, and policies, making recommendations for improvements and updates as needed. Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications: Be at least 18 years of age or older. Hold a High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with users, moderators, and other team members. Be highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Have a strong understanding of online community management principles, including conflict resolution and customer service. Preferred qualifications include: Previous experience as a chat moderator or in a similar role, preferably in a Discord or online community setting. Familiarity with Discord server management and moderation tools. Strong technical skills, including proficiency in computer programming languages (desired but not required).
