Role Overview The Remote Accounting Coordinator Bookkeeper will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and financial tasks. This includes updating financial records, preparing reports, and reconciling bank statements. The successful candidate will utilize Quickbooks Online and Desktop to process business transactions, such as accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers, and receipts. The goal of this role is to ensure the company's daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively, providing critical support to the accounting department and the organization as a whole. Key Responsibilities Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported. Type accurately, prepare, and maintain accounting documents and records, adhering to established standards and procedures. Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings, and statements, reconciling accounts promptly to maintain financial integrity. Daily enter key data of financial transactions into a database, utilizing Quickbooks Online and Desktop for efficient processing. Provide assistance and support to company personnel, addressing queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. Research, track, and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies, informing management and compiling reports/summaries on activity areas as required. Function per established standards, procedures, and applicable laws, constantly updating job knowledge to ensure compliance and best practices. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or Accounts Payable Clerk, with a solid understanding of bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures. Competency in MS Office, databases, and Quickbooks Online, with hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports. Accuracy and attention to detail, with an aptitude for numbers and the ability to perform filing and record-keeping tasks efficiently. Data entry and word processing skills, with the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. A high school degree, with an associate's degree or relevant certification being a significant plus. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Advanced knowledge of Quickbooks Online and Desktop, with experience in processing complex financial transactions. Familiarity with accounting software and systems, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.
