Job Summary and Responsibilities We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Behavioral Health team. As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our Behavioral Health unit, you will be responsible for: Providing high-quality, patient-focused care to individuals with psychiatric and substance abuse disorders Assessing patient needs and developing individualized care plans Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care Administering medications and monitoring patient responses Providing education and support to patients and their families Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes Essential Qualifications and Requirements To be considered for this role, you must: Hold a current license to practice nursing in Massachusetts (or be eligible to receive or renew) Have a strong foundation in behavioral health nursing, with experience in assessing and treating individuals with psychiatric and substance abuse disorders Be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams Be committed to delivering high-quality, patient-focused care and service excellence Preferred Qualifications and Skills While not essential, the following qualifications and skills are preferred: BSN or higher degree in nursing Experience in behavioral health nursing, with a focus on psychiatric and substance abuse disorders Certification in behavioral health nursing (e.g., CARN, CPRN) Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare technology Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to mentor and support junior staff members Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At UHS, we are committed to supporting the career growth and development of our nurses.
