As a Ramp Agent, you'll be part of a dynamic team that's passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the safe transportation of cargo and baggage. **Key Responsibilities** As a Ramp Agent, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient handling of baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft. Your daily tasks will include: * Safely lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft, while ensuring timely connections by guiding incoming and departing aircraft from the gate positions. * Safeguarding cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather. * Safely driving and operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion. * Operating baggage scanners and computers to ensure baggage is routed accurately to the customer's destination. **Work Environment and Physical Demands** As a Ramp Agent, you'll work in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions, including heat, rain, and snow. You'll be required to perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, standing, and walking, which may involve repetitive movements like loading and stacking bags weighing up to 50-70 pounds. You'll also be required to wear required company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure your safety and the safety of others. **Scheduling and Shifts** Scheduling is based on operational needs, and shifts range from early morning to overnight. Each station is different based on its individual flight schedule, and you'll work between 20 and 40 hours per week based on your seniority. **Compensation and Benefits** As a Ramp Agent, you'll enjoy a competitive salary of $19.00 per hour, with additional pay increases occurring regularly through 10.5 years.
