Key Responsibilities As a Ramp Agent at blithequark, your primary responsibilities will include: Safely lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft, ensuring timely connections and guiding incoming and departing aircraft from gate positions. Safeguarding cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather conditions. Operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion, while adhering to safety protocols. Utilizing baggage scanners and computers to ensure accurate routing of baggage to customer destinations. Collaborating with colleagues to achieve operational goals and maintain a safe working environment. Work Environment and Schedule As a Ramp Agent at blithequark, you can expect a dynamic and fast-paced work environment that requires physical stamina and flexibility. Your work schedule will be based on operational needs, with shifts ranging from early morning to overnight. You will work between 20 and 40 hours per week, depending on your seniority. What You Need to Succeed To be successful as a Ramp Agent at blithequark, you will need: A high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. Authorization to work in the United States. A valid driver's license. Proficiency in English. The ability to pass a physical ability test (PAT). Willingness to wear required company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ability to hold airport-specific requirements, such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal.
