Job Overview: Psychiatric Mental Health Clinical Nursing Faculty (Part-Time) We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Psychiatric Mental Health Clinical Nursing Faculty to teach in our Phoenix, AZ, Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. This part-time role offers a unique opportunity to develop your nurse educator experience, working with clinical partners across the Central, East, and West Valley areas of Phoenix. No teaching experience is required; however, a strong clinical background and a completed Master of Science in Nursing are essential. Key Responsibilities Implements the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service to the College, community, health system, and profession. Plans clinical experiences for and provides direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students delivering care to individuals or groups. Develops and posts written clinical assignments tailored to students' knowledge base, skill competency, and individual learning needs. Evaluates and provides documented feedback to students on their performance based on course objectives. Orients and maintains current knowledge related to agency/clinical policies, procedures, and expectations. Contributes to the ongoing development, implementation, and evaluation of the programs and the College. May teach didactic course content under the supervision of the course coordinator. Works collaboratively with college administration, staff, and other faculty members to improve the overall operation of the college and student satisfaction rates. Participates in the implementation of the College Assessment Program, campus retention efforts, and both departmental and campus policies. Serves as a professional role model in areas such as customer service, collaboration, communication, excellence, and general professionalism. Qualifications and Requirements To be considered for this role, you must possess: A Master of Science in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university. An unencumbered Arizona nursing license. A minimum of two years of experience within the last five years in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse. Teaching or precepting experience is preferred but not required. A genuine passion for nursing, education, and lifelong learning. Exceptional subject matter expertise with excellent written and verbal communication skills. A strong sense of responsibility and purpose, with the desire to enrich colleagues, students, and the broader community.
