About the Role: Pharmacy Technician - Work From Home Idaho We're seeking a dedicated and skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our Specialty Mail order pharmacy team in Boise, ID, working from the comfort of your own home. As a Pharmacy Technician, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of patient medication orders, while providing exceptional customer service and support. Key Responsibilities: Accurately read, interpret, and enter prescriptions into the computer system, including calculating doses and assigning directions. Verify insurance payment and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner. Contact doctor's offices and insurance companies to ensure the accuracy of patient medication orders. Respond to patient inquiries, coordinate and process new patient medication orders, and reorders, including verifying and re-verifying benefits. Demonstrate excellent communication and data entry skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail. Essential Qualifications: Active Valid Idaho Pharmacy Technician License (or proof of application prior to starting). National Pharmacy Technician Certification required within 1 year of hire. Six months of experience working in a pharmacy setting. Proficiency in Windows-Based applications, including Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications. Strong computer keyboarding skills and aptitude. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods (8-10 hours) and utilize a keyboard and operate departmental machinery. Preferred Qualifications: Six months of experience as a pharmacy technician. Experience handling and resolving customer needs over the phone. Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, and prescriptions. Medical Billing, Coding, and other Medical assisting roles. Customer service experience in an office environment. Professional work experience involving inbound and/or outbound phone customer service. Strong customer service skills, excellent communication skills, and strong knowledge of computer programs. Education: Verifiable High School diploma or equivalent required. Pay Range: The typical pay range for this role is $17.00 - $25.65 per hour, depending on experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
