Job Overview In this critical role, you will be an integral part of our Specialty Mail Request team, working closely with pharmacists, doctors, and insurance companies to ensure seamless and efficient patient care. As a Pharmacy Technician – Data Entry Specialist, you will utilize your excellent data entry skills to support the team's success, while maintaining high levels of accuracy, reliability, and customer focus. Your responsibilities will include routing problematic medications to the pharmacist for completion, communicating with doctors and insurance companies, mediating cases, and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, high-production environment. Key Responsibilities: Steer complex medications to the pharmacist for completion, ensuring timely and accurate processing Communicate effectively with doctors, insurance companies, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and provide updates Mediate cases, utilizing strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure successful outcomes Utilize excellent data entry skills to support team success, maintaining high levels of accuracy and efficiency Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner Collaborate with team members to achieve common goals, promoting a culture of teamwork and open communication Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of education, experience, and skills that align with our organization's values and goals. The following qualifications are required: 2+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician Pharmacy Tech Certified in the state of GA National Pharmacy Technician Certification Data entry experience, with high levels of accuracy and efficiency Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Preferred Qualifications: Specialty pharmacy experience, with knowledge of complex medications and treatment protocols Claims settlement experience, with ability to communicate effectively with prescribers regarding case status and review prescription claim issues Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, including medication therapy management and patient counseling Education and Training A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required for this role. Additionally, completion of a pharmacy technician training program or equivalent experience is preferred.
