Key Responsibilities As a Pharmacy Technician – Data Entry Specialist at blithequark, your primary responsibilities will include: Directly assisting pharmacists with the processing of prescriptions, including data entry and verification of patient information Communicating effectively with physicians, insurance companies, and patients to resolve issues and provide updates on prescription status Utilizing your excellent data entry skills to accurately and efficiently process prescriptions, while maintaining high levels of productivity in a fast-paced environment Providing exceptional customer service to patients, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, including patient files and prescription information Collaborating with the pharmacy team to ensure seamless operations, including assisting with inventory management and maintaining a clean and organized work environment Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: 2+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, with a strong background in data entry and customer service Pharmacy Technician certification in the state of GA (or ability to obtain certification within a specified timeframe) National Pharmacy Technician Certification (or ability to obtain certification within a specified timeframe) Proven data entry skills, with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, pharmacists, and insurance providers Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Specialty pharmacy experience, with a strong understanding of complex medications and therapies Claims settlement experience, with the ability to communicate effectively with prescribers regarding case status and review prescription claim issues Experience working in a high-volume pharmacy environment, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities Education and Training The following education and training are required for this role: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Bachelor's degree (preferred, but not essential) Completion of a pharmacy technician training program (or ability to complete a training program within a specified timeframe) Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong attention to detail, with high levels of accuracy and precision Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, pharmacists, and insurance providers Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with high levels of productivity and efficiency Strong computer skills, with experience using pharmacy software and systems Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
