Key Responsibilities Perform order entry tasks with precision and accuracy. Collaborate with pharmacists and other team members to ensure the medication dispensing process is efficient and accurate. Triage customer service requests by department, urgency, and the information or response required. Calculate and verify the correct dosage based on prescriptions, ensuring patient safety. Assist in reviewing narcotic prescriptions to ensure they are processed in a timely manner. Provide dispensing pharmacists with critical information regarding allergies, drug interactions, therapeutic duplications, and other items flagged by the computer system. Create and maintain accurate customer records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulatory standards. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: Required Qualifications: Certification, licensure, or registration as a pharmacy technician, or as required by state law.
