Job Overview As a Pharmacy Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will play a vital role in providing empathetic and professional support to members, providers, and pharmacies. Your primary responsibility will be to handle inbound and outbound calls, addressing questions and concerns related to pharmacy benefits, provider issues, and claim problems. Key Responsibilities Answer questions and handle problems regarding pharmacy benefits, provider issues, or claim problems in a professional and empathetic manner Handle inbound calls and make outbound calls to follow up with members, providers, and pharmacies as necessary, ensuring timely and effective communication Spend approximately 90% of your time on the phones, providing exceptional customer service and support to members and stakeholders Seek approval for overrides and prior authorizations as needed, entering them into the claims system with accuracy and attention to detail Monitor pharmacy claims processing and complete data entry of member records, ensuring that all information is up-to-date and accurate Perform other duties or special projects as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing business needs Essential Qualifications 1+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical healthcare industry, with a strong understanding of pharmacy benefits and operations A pharmacy technician certification is highly preferred (inactive certifications also apply), demonstrating your expertise and commitment to the field 1+ year(s) of PBM or health benefits experience, with a proven track record of success in a similar role Experience working in a high-volume call center is highly preferred, with a strong ability to manage multiple calls and prioritize tasks effectively High school diploma or equivalent, with a strong foundation in customer service and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification, demonstrating your expertise and commitment to the field Advanced knowledge of pharmacy benefits, claims processing, and prior authorizations, with a strong understanding of industry regulations and guidelines Experience with claims systems and data entry software, with a strong ability to learn and adapt to new technologies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to resolve complex issues and concerns Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to build rapport with members, providers, and pharmacies Skills and Competencies To succeed as a Pharmacy Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will need to possess a unique blend of technical, business, and interpersonal skills.
