Key Responsibilities Provide counseling and guidance to patients on the proper use of medications, potential side effects, and interactions, ensuring a positive patient experience. Perform pharmacist tasks, including compounding, medication therapy reviews, and prescription management, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies. Review, interpret, and accurately administer prescribed medications, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction. Collaborate with the pharmacy manager to establish procedures that promote the efficient workflow of the pharmacy, enhance patient experience, and optimize financial performance. Maintain current knowledge of information technology related to pharmacy systems, including workflow, prescription fulfillment, billing, clinical documentation, training, inventory management, and retail point-of-sale systems. Ensure the accurate processing of insurance claims, resolving patient issues and preventing payment denials, and communicating with insurance companies and healthcare providers as needed. Perform clinical and health services, such as vaccinations, diagnostic testing, and disease state management, promoting preventive care and wellness. Support and partner with centralized support for patient enrollment, exemption resolution, and issue resolution, conducting virtual item reviews as required. Essential Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution. Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the region. Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate a strong understanding of relevant state and federal controlled substance regulations. Certified Immunizer or able to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire. Preferred Qualifications At least 2 years of experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting, including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems, and insurance.
