Engage with patients, addressing their concerns, and responding to inquiries to ensure a positive patient experience. Participate in events that reflect the unique communities we serve, as requested by the Store Manager, Healthcare Supervisor, District Manager, or Pharmacy Manager. Tasks and Responsibilities Counsel patients and answer their questions regarding medication use, side effects, interactions, contraindications, patient data security, generics, and over-the-counter products, referring to clinical providers as needed. Perform pharmacist tasks, including compounding, medication therapy reviews, verification, and medication management. Review, interpret, and accurately administer prescribed medications when required by responsibility. Ensure the pharmacy operates in accordance with regulations, company policies, and standards, assisting the pharmacy manager in establishing procedures that promote efficient workflow. Maintain current knowledge of information technology related to pharmacy systems, including workflow, prescription fulfillment, billing, clinical documentation, training, inventory management, and retail point-of-sale registers. Ensure the accurate processing of insurance claims to resolve patient issues and prevent payment rejections, following up with insurance companies and clinical providers as needed. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution. Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the region. Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate a strong understanding of relevant state and federal controlled substance regulations. Certified Immunizer or able to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire. Preferred Qualifications At least 2 years of experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting, including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems, and insurance. Skills and Competencies Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with patients, colleagues, and clinical providers. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and ability to accurately process prescriptions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and customer service. Proficiency in pharmacy software and technology systems, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
