Job Overview As a Patient Advocate Representative I in our Patient Support Department, you will be at the forefront of our call center operations, providing first-class customer service to patients, physicians, and referral sources. Your primary objective will be to ensure patient satisfaction, resolve issues, and maintain accurate and timely shipping of reorders. Key Responsibilities Obtain and process authorizations for reorders, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of patient needs. Resolve patient issues and concerns via phone, document processing, and medical record validation, providing empathetic and effective solutions. Ensure patients have all required medical documentation to permit billing of services, maintaining up-to-date records and adhering to company procedures. Maximize patient retention through cross-selling and retention efforts, leveraging your exceptional communication skills to build strong relationships with patients and stakeholders. Handle inbound and outbound calls from patients, physicians, and referral sources, addressing concerns, verifying insurance coverage, and providing education on services and products. Audit configuration of supplies based on supporting documentation, formulary requirements, and manufacturer capabilities, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Maintain a strong understanding of medical documentation, insurance requirements, and company procedures, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices. Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality, handling sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. Maintain regular, predictable, and consistent attendance, demonstrating flexibility to meet the needs of the department and ensure seamless operations. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will need: A minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent, demonstrating a foundation in education and a commitment to learning. Preferred customer service experience, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional service and resolving complex issues. Proficient computer literacy, including strong keyboarding skills and the ability to accurately key data while maintaining active listening skills. Strong attention to detail, multi-tasking, communication, and organizational skills, enabling you to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and maintain accurate records. Exceptional phone and email etiquette, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including patients, physicians, and referral sources.
