Experienced Patient Account Representative – Remote Call Center and Customer Service Expert for arenaflex Revenue Cycle Team

Our Revenue Cycle team plays a critical role in ensuring the financial stability and growth of our organization, and we are seeking an experienced Patient Account Representative to join our team in a remote capacity. As a Patient Account Representative, you will be the primary point of contact for patients, insurance companies, and other stakeholders, providing exceptional customer service and support while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including: Making and answering phone calls to or from hospital and/or physician group customers, providing timely and accurate information and support Maintaining required levels of productivity and quality while managing tasks to ensure the timeliness of analytic report resolution Using identified and known resources to accomplish analytic report follow-up, including payor websites, provider service lines, analytics, and correspondence Participating in A/R clean-up projects or other projects identified by leadership Taking ownership of assignments and other duties as assigned or requested Communicating and listening effectively with internal and external customers, effectively understanding instructions and sharing knowledge Cooperating and interacting with supervisors, peers, other departments, and all customer groups, demonstrating our commitment to "service" Providing training to new or existing staff as directed by leadership, when necessary Working to identify ways to reduce calls or wait times, which will increase customer satisfaction Demonstrating leadership qualities and initiative amongst peers and coworkers Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook General accounting and bookkeeping skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: One or more years of previous customer service experience Experience with Epic, SSI, or other healthcare systems or applications Knowledge of medical billing and medical terminology Experience working in a call center or customer service environment Skill and Competency Requirements To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Effective Communication: Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, both internally and externally Customer Service: Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide exceptional support and service to patients and other stakeholders Analytical and Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner Time Management and Organization: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively, ensuring that all responsibilities are completed in a timely and accurate manner Leadership and Initiative: Demonstrated leadership qualities and initiative, with the ability to take ownership of assignments and contribute to the success of the team Career Growth and Learning Opportunities At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
