Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Part Time Remote Data Analyst and Entry Specialist to join our Information and Analysis team. As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving business decisions by providing insights and analysis to cross-functional teams. Your expertise in data analysis and interpretation will help inform strategies and optimize business outcomes across the music industry. Key Responsibilities Acquire, organize, purify, and manipulate large-scale, high-dimensional data from various original sources using tools like PySpark and advanced SQL. Build automated, flexible, repeatable, and integrated analysis leveraging current big data architectures in data ecosystems, such as Databricks, Snowflake, Google BigQuery. Apply advanced analytics techniques (data mining, statistical analysis, machine learning) to identify patterns and uncover opportunities in social data. Lead campaign, product, content, and audience analysis for business needs. Develop and track key metrics to measure success. Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to complete data projects, contributing to solution discovery, design, build, and QA. Essential Qualifications 2 years of analytical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, including Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or other related fields. Knowledge of supervised and unsupervised learning methods. Proficient in using scripting tools like PySpark/Python/R and SQL. Proficient in data analysis and visualization tools. Strong time management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment across multiple priorities. Preferred Qualifications Experience in applying supervised and unsupervised learning procedures, such as linear and logistic regression, decision trees, or k-means clustering to determine, validate, and measure ends from the data. Experience documenting data requirements, rules, and assumptions. Experience with data mining in distributed systems like Databricks/Google BigQuery/Snowflake. Experience manipulating large, transaction-level datasets and interpreting data patterns from multiple disparate data sources. A passion for music or media industry data! Familiarity with music streaming features (Spotify, Apple, Amazon Music, YouTube), social media platforms (TikTok, FB/Instagram), and new technologies (digital assistants/voice). Graduate degree in a quantitative field, including Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or other related fields.
