Our tutors are the backbone of our organization, and we're seeking talented individuals who share our vision and values. **Job Overview** As a part-time high school math tutor, you'll be responsible for providing academic support to students in the Chattanooga, TN area. You'll work with students in a one-on-one setting, helping them to understand and master high school math concepts, including algebra, geometry, and calculus. You'll also be responsible for preparing lesson plans, tracking student progress, and communicating with parents and guardians. **Responsibilities** * Provide high-quality academic support to students in high school math, including algebra, geometry, and calculus * Prepare lesson plans and adapt to different learning styles * Track student progress and communicate with parents and guardians * Provide session reports to the office and families within 24 hours of each tutoring session * Effectively balance tutoring hours given for each assigned student * Successfully and professionally teach students to fit their individual needs * Service existing clients' concerns, questions, and requests * Follow-up with the office when a student's enrollment package is low on hours * Candidates must only service students whose needs meet theirs **Minimum Qualifications** * Minimum 2 years of experience in the education field and industry preferred * Minimum of 2 years of experience in tutoring/teaching in specialized education fields preferred * Credentialed tutors and/or graduate degrees are a plus but not a requirement * Experience with basic Database/ Data Entry * Ability to prepare accordingly for each tutoring session (lesson plan) * Having a personality that is suited for different types of students * Strong administration skills * Strong typing, PC and recording skills * Having reliable transportation with current car insurance is a must * Access to the internet, a computer, and a smart phone **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience working with students with diverse learning needs and abilities * Familiarity with educational software and technology * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Experience with lesson planning and curriculum development **Compensation and Benefits** * Competitive hourly rates based on experience and qualifications * Opportunities for professional growth and development * A supportive and dynamic work environment * Access to ongoing training and education * A chance to make a real difference in the lives of our students and their families **How to Apply** If you're passionate about education and committed to making a difference in the lives of our students, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
