Key Responsibilities As an Overnight Stocking Coach, Complex, you will be responsible for leading and developing teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates. Your key responsibilities will include: Leading by example and demonstrating exceptional customer service standards to store associates, following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model Communicating and collaborating with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction Introducing and leading company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions, and communicating business objectives to teams effectively Driving the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating P&L statements, managing and assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses Providing supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, and providing associate recognition Coordinating, completing, and overseeing job-related activities and assignments, developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, supporting company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity, and implementing related action plans Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following essential qualifications: 2 years of college; OR 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience; OR 2 years' general work experience and 1 year's supervisory experience Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to teach, train, and actively listen to associates Ability to drive sales and financial performance, with a strong understanding of retail operations and merchandising principles Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on customer service and associate development Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset: Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, with responsibility for performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills and competencies: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to teach, train, and actively listen to associates Ability to drive sales and financial performance, with a strong understanding of retail operations and merchandising principles Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on customer service and associate development Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address improvement opportunities Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a focus on collaboration and communication Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Walmart, we are committed to providing our associates with opportunities for career growth and development.
