About the Role We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our exceptional team at Baylor University Medical Center. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced operating room environment Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans Implement and evaluate nursing interventions to achieve optimal patient outcomes Participate in quality improvement initiatives to drive excellence in patient care Mentor and support new team members to promote a culture of learning and growth Utilize evidence-based practice to inform nursing decisions and improve patient outcomes Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: Graduation from an accredited nursing program At least 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in an operating room setting Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: BSN or higher degree in nursing Specialty certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR) Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare technology Leadership or mentorship experience Participation in quality improvement initiatives or research studies Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong clinical skills and knowledge of operating room procedures Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and promoting a culture of safety Career Growth Opportunities At Baylor University Medical Center, we are committed to helping our team members grow and develop in their careers.
