About the Role We're seeking an experienced and dedicated Online SAT/ACT Tutor to join our team of elite educators. As an Online SAT/ACT Tutor at ArborBridge, you'll have the opportunity to work with students from diverse backgrounds and help them navigate the challenges of standardized testing. Key Responsibilities Privately tutor students around the world via Zoom, an online video conferencing platform Create personalized test prep plans for each student, using ArborBridge's proprietary digital curriculum Set consistent instructional and practice exam schedules for each student, with the goal of making steady progress leading up to a specific test date Write lesson notes after each meeting with a student, updating parents on the student's progress Assign appropriate amounts of homework between lessons Establish genuine relationships with your students, their families, and ArborBridge employees Communicate regularly with client services directors, instruction managers, operational staff, and other colleagues at ArborBridge to ensure that students receive maximum support and each program runs smoothly Ideal Candidate To thrive in this role, you should be: An SAT & ACT expert with experience tutoring all sections of both exams An engaging and effective educator with a passion for private, one-on-one online tutoring A quick and thorough communicator with excellent customer service skills An organized and proactive problem-solver with a ability to adapt to various needs Essential Qualifications At least 6 months of formal SAT and ACT tutoring experience (1 year or more is preferred) Deep knowledge of all SAT/ACT content (we do not hire SAT/ACT subject specialists; our SAT/ACT tutors teach all sections of both exams) Ability to score in the 99th percentile on a full-length SAT or ACT exam Familiarity with online teaching tools Bachelor's degree from a top university Preferred Qualifications Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and with varying learning styles Knowledge of online learning platforms and educational software Excellent time management and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess: Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to adapt to new technologies and learning platforms Strong organizational and time management skills Passion for education and commitment to student success Career Growth Opportunities At ArborBridge, we're committed to helping our tutors grow and develop in their careers.
