About the Role: Online English Teacher (100% Remote) As an online English teacher at Preply, you will have the opportunity to teach students from all over the world, on your own schedule and at your own price. You will be able to create your own lesson plans or use Preply's curriculum to deliver engaging and effective lessons to your students. With our integrated calendar, you can set your availability and schedule lessons with students at times that suit you. You will also have access to training and professional development through Preply's Tutor Academy and regular webinars, ensuring that you have the skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality lessons and support your students' learning journey. Key Responsibilities: Teach English online to Preply students all over the world, on your own schedule and at your own price Create your own lesson plans or use Preply's curriculum for your lessons with your students Use Preply's integrated calendar to set your availability and schedule lessons with students Access training and professional development through Preply's Tutor Academy and regular webinars Provide comprehensive materials and resources to meet students' needs Be energetic, patient, responsible, and cheerful in your interactions with students What You Need to Become a Preply Tutor: To be a successful online English teacher at Preply, you will need: Proficiency in English A University degree or Certificate to teach English (TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, DELTA, etc), or equivalent qualification in English language teaching Experience teaching one-on-one classes with proven results, preferably online Experience providing comprehensive materials and resources to meet students' needs A high-speed internet connection To be energetic, patient, responsible, and cheerful Essential Qualifications: In addition to the above requirements, we are looking for candidates who are: Passionate about teaching and learning Excellent communicators with strong interpersonal skills Able to work independently and as part of a team Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills Able to commit to a minimum number of hours per week Preferred Qualifications: While not essential, the following qualifications and experience are preferred: Experience teaching English as a second language Knowledge of language learning methodologies and technologies Experience with online learning platforms and tools Able to speak multiple languages Experience working with students of different ages and levels Skills and Competencies Required for Success: To be a successful online English teacher at Preply, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong teaching and communication skills Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans Patience, empathy, and understanding in your interactions with students Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively Strong technical skills, including the ability to use online learning platforms and tools Ability to adapt to new situations and challenges Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits: At Preply, we are committed to supporting the career growth and development of our tutors.
