Your Role: Staff Data Scientist - Experimentation and Valuation We're looking for a Staff Data Scientist who can drive foundational advancements in Experimentation and Valuation within the ads space. As a key leader, you'll collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify new opportunities, design and execute experiments, and provide actionable insights that have a significant business impact. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the long-term success of Netflix's advertising business. Key Responsibilities Lead the Experimentation for Ads Platform, identifying and pursuing high-impact studies, and making compelling cases for prioritization and resource allocation. Foster strong partnerships with stakeholders from product, engineering, operations, design, and consumer research, driving collaboration and innovation. Execute and present robust research and insights, disseminating knowledge and garnering support for your ideas. Deliver technically exceptional solutions using modeling, ML, data exploration, and documentation, with a focus on impact and contribution to the broader DSE community. Serve as a thought leader for Product, Strategy, and Engineering teams in the realm of Experimentation for Ads. Essential Qualifications Advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field. Leadership experience (staff level) with large-scale data, demonstrating the ability to lead cross-functionally, work independently, and inspire others. Strong statistical knowledge and intuition, applied in experimentation or product analytics settings. Strong product knowledge and intuition, applied in consumer-facing or technical settings. Demonstrated ability to communicate and drive product change across diverse stakeholders. Strong SQL skills and Quantitative Programming skills in Python or R. Ability to communicate technical and statistical concepts clearly and concisely to various audiences. Preferred Qualifications Mentorship and enablement of others, particularly within your functional area. Active participation in building and fostering technical communities internally and externally.
