With a strong commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction, we strive to make a positive impact on the lives of our clients and their patients. **Key Responsibilities** As a Medical Record/Data Entry Clerk/Project Support Specialist at blithequark, your key responsibilities will include: * Retrieving patient medical records from various Hospital systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness * Generating and preparing patient itemized bills in appropriate formats for internal and external audits * Extracting and entering necessary information from/to Hospital patient accounting systems, maintaining data integrity and security * Making phone calls to Post Acute Healthcare Facilities to obtain information needed on patients, building strong relationships and communicating effectively * Running and creating reports to support revenue recovery efforts, analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities * Assisting with any other information gathering or data entry as needed by the recovery team, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines * Scanning and indexing of documents, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail **Essential Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you will need: * 2+ years of experience in medical records, data entry, or a related field * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with Hospital patient accounting systems * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accuracy and completeness in data entry and record-keeping **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, the following qualifications would be an asset in this role: * Experience working in a healthcare setting, with knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems * Certification in medical records or a related field, such as RHIT or CCS * Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and other healthcare software systems * Strong knowledge of HIPAA and other healthcare regulations, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and security **Skills and Competencies** To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with Hospital patient accounting systems * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accuracy and completeness in data entry and record-keeping * Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and excellence **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At blithequark, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
