With a strong focus on innovation, collaboration, and customer satisfaction, we strive to be the go-to partner for healthcare organizations seeking expert guidance and support. **Job Summary** As a Medical Record/Data Entry Clerk/Project Support Associate, you will play a vital role in supporting our team of registered nurses, coding professionals, and billing specialists in the Revenue Recovery Department. Your primary responsibilities will include data entry, medical records management, and project support, with a focus on ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our revenue recovery processes. This is a hybrid position, with a mix of remote and in-office work, offering the perfect balance of flexibility and collaboration. **Key Responsibilities** * Retrieve patient medical records from various Hospital systems, ensuring timely and accurate access to critical information * Generate and prepare patient itemized bills in appropriate formats for internal and external audits, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements * Extract and enter necessary information from/to Hospital patient accounting systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity * Make phone calls to Post Acute Healthcare Facilities to obtain information needed on patients, building strong relationships with healthcare providers * Run and create reports to support revenue recovery efforts, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement * Assist with any other information gathering or data entry as needed by the recovery team, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines * Scan and index documents, maintaining a secure and organized digital repository of patient records **Essential Qualifications** * High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare administration, business, or data analysis) preferred * 1-2 years of experience in medical records management, data entry, or a related field, with a strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with experience in data analysis and reporting * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with healthcare providers and colleagues * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience working in a healthcare setting, with knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems (e.g., ICD-10, CPT) * Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and practice management systems (PMS) * Certification in medical records management or a related field (e.g., RHIA, RHIT) * Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and areas for improvement **Skills and Competencies** * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and areas for improvement * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with healthcare providers and colleagues * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with experience in data analysis and reporting * Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and practice management systems (PMS) **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At blithequark, we believe in investing in our employees' growth and development.
