As a key member of our healthcare data management team, you'll be responsible for preparing, compiling, and sorting documents for data entry within a DoD-approved EHR system. Your attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will make you an invaluable asset to our team. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** * Prepare, compile, and sort documents for data entry within a DoD-approved EHR system. * Manually enter data for patient records whose transfer did not occur. * Check source documents for accuracy within EHR and verify data, correcting errors as necessary. * Obtain further information for incomplete documents and update data accordingly. * Ensure referrals are dispositioned and manual entry of patient ancillary appointments is completed. * Combine and rearrange data from source documents where required and enter data into prescribed computer databases, files, and forms. * Transcribe information into required electronic formats and coordinate with team members to resolve issues and concerns. * Check completed work for accuracy and perform other duties as required or assigned. * Complete assigned CBTs (Training) as required. **Supervisor/Management Authority:** This position has no supervisory or management authority. **Education and Experience:** * Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED * 2-year minimum medical data entry work experience, including typing * Prefer military healthcare experience **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** * Excellent verbal and telephone communication skills * Excellent interpersonal skills * Typing speed of 40 words per minute * Excellent customer service skills **Employment Requirements:** * Drug Screen/Background Check: Must be able to successfully pass a Federal background check and drug screen. * COVID: Cherokee Federal employees are included as covered employees in U.S. Presidential Executive Order 14042, which mandates COVID vaccines for federal contractors. However, due to current court proceedings, the vaccine requirement is currently blocked from enforcement.
