Key Responsibilities Provides exceptional phone support: Handles calls from hospitals and patients about billing inquiries, medical records, and other healthcare-related topics in a timely and efficient manner. Assists patients effectively: Clarifies patient questions, addresses concerns, and ensures they receive the information they need to make informed decisions about their care. Problem-solving champion: Works through issues by pinpointing the root cause, researching solutions, implementing the best option, and escalating unresolved matters when necessary. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements: Epic Software experience is highly preferred, as you will be working with our electronic health record system to access and update patient information. Bi-lingual skills are a plus, as we serve a diverse patient population and value language accessibility. Must have worked in a call center environment, with experience in medical claims and/or insurance, to provide expert support to our patients and healthcare partners. Ability to undergo a criminal background check, provide proof of high school diploma or equivalent, and complete a drug screen test (including testing for THC). Must have high-speed internet with a minimum of 50 Mbps download/20 Mbps upload speed, and be able to hardwire via Ethernet cable to ensure reliable and secure connectivity. Ability to work from home in a quiet setting with no others within earshot, due to HIPAA compliance requirements, and have a dedicated workspace to accommodate two monitors and a computer. Essential Qualifications In addition to the requirements listed above, the ideal candidate will possess: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with patients and provide personalized support. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues and escalate matters when necessary. Proficiency in data entry and record-keeping, with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work in a fast-paced call center environment, with a high volume of incoming calls and multiple priorities. Strong technical skills, with the ability to navigate our computer system and troubleshoot technical issues. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience working in a healthcare call center or customer service environment. Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and patient confidentiality. Certification in customer service or a related field, such as Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR) or Certified Medical Receptionist (CMR). Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients who speak languages other than English.
