We are now seeking an experienced Media Replay Operator I to join our Studio Ops team, working from the comfort of your own home. About the Role The Media Replay Operator I will be responsible for coordinating, recording, editing, and playing back server-based material during live and pre-recorded productions, ensuring that all content meets blithequark's stringent standards for video and sound quality. This role requires a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Key Responsibilities Operate broadcast equipment and technology within assigned working areas, including the connection and delivery of all server content used for recording and playback during control room productions. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of editing techniques on instant replay and non-linear systems, ensuring high-quality output. Measure sound and video signals to guarantee quality control of blithequark-adopted standards on all operations, utilizing extensive knowledge of broadcast techniques. Train others in operational areas, as required, and develop training documentation to support knowledge sharing. Participate in training programs, both physical and virtual, to enhance self-career development and stay up-to-date with equipment and workflow changes within the operation. Exhibit strong knowledge of plant signal flow/routing and participate in special event coverage and projects as needed. Perform other tasks as required to achieve business objectives, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities. Essential Qualifications and Skills To succeed in this role, you will need: A minimum of 2 years of practical television production or related experience at the large market or organization level. Profound knowledge of all television production equipment and technology within assigned working areas, including video production switchers, server-based recording/playback systems, and related control devices. The ability to work flexible hours, including late shifts, weekends, and holidays, and adapt to changing shift patterns and deadlines. Strong organizational, efficiency, and design skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and strong communication skills. The ability to work independently, lead simultaneous projects, and meet tight deadlines. A strong understanding of workflow in other specialty units and their impact on production operations. Preferred Qualifications and Skills To stand out as a candidate, you will ideally possess: Evident knowledge of broadcast communications equipment and workflows. A comprehension of remote event workflows and phrasing, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting. The capacity to provide exceptional customer service to our partners, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded. Bilingual skills (written and spoken) in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages. A four-year certification in Communications, Studio Production, Broadcasting, or a related field, with a professional school certificate or related experience.
