About the Role We are seeking an experienced Math Tutor to join our team, working remotely to provide academic support to students in Mathematics course materials. As a Math Tutor, you will play a vital role in helping students develop knowledge, insight, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. This is a part-time position, scheduled to work up to 18 hours per week, with an hourly rate of $18.20 - $24.23 DOE. Key Responsibilities Assist students in analyzing assignments and assigned readings. Assist students in interpreting and understanding mathematical concepts. Assist students in developing critical thinking and mathematical communication skills. Assisting students in developing effective study habits and skills. Assist students working in an online format. Perform other related duties as assigned and/or required. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must meet the following minimum qualifications: Reference from an instructor or professor if you are a current Olympic College student. High School Graduate, Equivalent, or Current Running Start Student. Completion of MATH 141 (or equivalent course) with a decimal grade of 3.5 or higher. Desired Qualifications We prefer candidates with the following qualifications: College teaching or previous tutoring experience. Completion of Math 141, Math 142, Math 151, Math 152, and Math 163 or equivalent courses with grades of 3.5 or higher.
