Key Responsibilities As a Math Instructor / Tutor at Mathnasium of Olive Branch, your primary responsibilities will include: Teaching and tutoring students in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method ™ , terminology, and teaching practices. Collaborating with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting, ensuring each student receives the support they need. Assessing students' learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions to identify areas for improvement. Becoming proficient with digital educational materials and processes to enhance student learning. Maintaining a safe and professional learning environment that promotes student success and well-being. Qualifications and Requirements To be successful as a Math Instructor / Tutor at Mathnasium of Olive Branch, you'll need: A passion for math and working with students. Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students, parents, and team members. An eagerness to learn and be trained on our proprietary Mathnasium Method ™ and teaching practices. Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I, demonstrated through a math literacy test. The ability to balance various ongoing tasks and prioritize responsibilities. Work authorization and a clear background check. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly preferred: Previous experience in teaching or tutoring math. A degree in mathematics or education. Experience working with students in grades 2nd-12th. Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you'll need: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs. Patience and empathy when working with students who may be struggling. A growth mindset and eagerness to continuously learn and improve. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive hourly rate of $11-$13 per hour, depending on experience.
