About the Job As a local truck driver at blithequark, you will be responsible for operating a dedicated truck, running approximately 600 miles per day, and performing drop and hook work for our valued customers. You will have the comfort of returning to our terminal and home every day, with a consistent schedule that allows for minor changes from week to week. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough inspections of your vehicle, equipment, and cargo to ensure everything is safe, legal, and secure. Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area, adhering to our high standards of quality and excellence. Be available for work at all times to meet customer pickup and delivery schedules, demonstrating your commitment to reliability and customer satisfaction. Submit customer paperwork and deposits, including invoices, load orders, and handheld reports, in a timely and accurate manner. Maintain a driver's log in accordance with DOT regulations, ensuring compliance and adherence to industry standards. Engage in daily customer interactions, fostering positive relationships and providing exceptional customer service. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must possess a Class A license without any restrictions, including (E) No Manual, (L,Z) Air Brakes, (O) No Semi Trailer, or (K) Intrastate Only. Additionally, you should have at least 12 months of tractor-trailer experience, demonstrating your ability to operate a commercial vehicle safely and efficiently. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience with dedicated customers and local routes, showcasing your knowledge of the area and ability to navigate complex logistics. Excellent communication and customer service skills, allowing you to build strong relationships with our customers and internal teams.
