Job Overview In this full-time remote position, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of forecasting algorithms, automating manual processes, and analyzing large datasets to generate key insights and drive business decisions. You will work closely with our global AI teams, scientists, engineers, and business partners to identify new opportunities and lead the implementation of large-scale machine learning models and algorithmic solutions. Your expertise in data exploration, statistical modeling, and data visualization will be essential in presenting clear and accurate root-cause analysis to stakeholders and leadership. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and implementation of mathematical and statistical techniques to create long-term forecasting algorithms and solve business problems in retail Automate manual processes and decision-making through mathematical and statistical models Analyze large datasets to generate key insights and drive business decisions Perform data exploration tasks, extract insights, and create storyboards from data analysis Present clear and accurate root-cause analysis to stakeholders and leadership Build training workflows for machine learning algorithms on tens of millions of data points Lead and develop large-scale implementations of machine learning models and algorithmic solutions using rich retail data sources Review model performance and identify improvements to enhance models Collaborate with global AI teams, scientists, engineers, and business partners to identify and lead new opportunities Requirements To be successful in this role, you must have at least a Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related quantitative field, and at least seven (7) years of experience as a data or machine learning scientist. Alternatively, a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related quantitative field, and at least four (4) years of experience as a data or machine learning scientist will also be considered. Essential Qualifications At least seven (7) years of experience in data science, machine learning, or a closely related field Experience with advanced machine learning activities, including regression, clustering, and forecasting Expertise in mathematical concepts, algorithms, and computational complexity Experience working with large datasets and solving business problems Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, SQL, R, SAS, and Java Experience with data mining, machine learning, and text mining techniques Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present findings and reports to stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Experience working with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, and Spark Experience with deep learning techniques and frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch Experience with data pipeline engineering, distributed systems, and database architecture Experience with linear programming and data mining skills Strong software engineering skills, with the ability to prototype individual components of data science solutions Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you must possess strong technical skills, including proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, R, SAS, and Java.
