Job Overview In this critical role, you will lead the development and implementation of key security capabilities, including secure design, security requirements, threat modeling, static analysis, software composition analysis, application security posture management/vulnerability management, and cloud-native application protection. Your expertise will be instrumental in enhancing the company's ability to deliver highly functional and secure applications, protecting against potential threats and vulnerabilities. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and implementation of key security capabilities, including secure design, security requirements, threat modeling, and application security posture management Provide strategic and technical security guidance for secure application development, including the assessment and recommendation of technical controls Design, document, plan, direct, and implement complex data security solutions Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate application security tools into the CI/CD pipeline and Big enterprise vulnerability management systems Develop and manage security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines Mentor and guide less experienced engineering staff Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: 5+ years of Data Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education 5+ years of Application Security Engineering experience Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Information Assurance Strong understanding of application security risks, including OWASP Top 10 and SANS/CWE Top 25 Experience with programming languages, such as Java, .NET, C#, JavaScript, Python, or other modern OOP languages Experience with automated application security testing tools, including Static and Dynamic Application Security Testing (SAST/DAST) and Software Composition Analysis (SCA) Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Advanced degree in a relevant field, such as a Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Information Assurance Relevant security certifications, such as OSCP/OSEP/OSWE, CEH/LPT, CPT/CEPT, CASS, CASE, CMWAPT, CRTOP, or GIAC Experience with DevSecOps and integrating application security tools into the CI/CD pipeline Strong technical and business writing skills, with the ability to effectively communicate plans and policies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess: Strong technical skills, including programming languages, application security testing tools, and cloud-native application protection Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential security risks Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines Strong attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality results Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Wells Fargo, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
