Job Summary We are seeking an experienced K-12 Education Systems Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and technical staff to understand their needs and provide solutions that meet their technical ambitions. You will be responsible for providing pre-sales technical support, developing new initiatives and programs, and helping to drive the execution of solutions. Key Responsibilities Inspire and advise : Inspire schools and institutions to change the way people work, teach, and learn, and advise them on the best technical architecture to achieve their goals. Understand customer needs : Deeply understand the deployment, management, integration, and security needs within our customers' organizations, as well as their technical ambitions. Provide technical support : Provide pre-sales technical support for new educational institution opportunities, and help to remove technical barriers and friction points. Develop new initiatives : Develop new initiatives, programs, tools, requirements, and practices for our Field Engineering and Sales teams, and contribute to the broader organization. Collaborate with internal and external partners : Collaborate closely with internal and external partners to create plans for solutions and new use cases, and help drive the execution of the solution. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience : A bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience, is required for this role. 10+ years of experience : The role typically requires 10+ years of experience in a related field, with a deep knowledge of Apple products and services. Deep understanding of education environments : A deep understanding of the infrastructure needed to support education environments on Apple platforms, as well as where our partners can provide solutions, is essential. Ability to identify customer needs : The ability to help identify a customer's existing investments, advocate for standard processes, and align resources to accelerate their implementation, is critical. Experienced in helping educators : Experience in helping educators and customers understand the best route forward, and how to make the best use of our tools, is required. Preferred Qualifications Ability to understand customer needs and priorities : The ability to understand your customer's needs and their organization's priorities, initiatives, and transformation goals, is preferred. Success through careful planning : Success is a result of careful planning, and the ability to collaborate with the account team to ensure that the account plans include the right technical motions, is desirable. Strong collaboration and technical guidance : Strong collaboration, attention to detail, and technical guidance, are essential for increasing the technical readiness of your customers. Ability to tell the "Why Apple" story : The ability to confidently tell the "Why Apple" story to an executive in a conversational manner, focusing on your customer's educational goals, is preferred. Familiarity with Apple's integrated programs : Familiarity with Apple's tightly integrated set of programs to enable deployment of Apple products, such as Apple School Manager, Apple Professional Services, and support with AppleCare, is desirable. Skills and Competencies Technical expertise : A strong technical background, with a deep knowledge of Apple products and services, is essential.
