Key Responsibilities Develop and implement personalized learning plans for students with special needs, aligning with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Provide one-on-one and small group instruction, adapting teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students. Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of special education services. Monitor student progress, adjusting instruction and IEPs as necessary to optimize student outcomes. Utilize technology and other resources to enhance teaching and learning, staying up-to-date with best practices in special education. Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other school events, contributing to a collaborative and student-centered environment. Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and district policies. Qualifications and Requirements Essential Qualifications A valid Ohio Intervention Specialist License, demonstrating expertise in special education and compliance with state regulations. A bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field, with a strong foundation in educational theory and practice. Proven experience as an Intervention Specialist / Special Education Teacher, with a track record of success in supporting students with diverse needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with students, parents, and colleagues. Preferred Qualifications A master's degree in Special Education or a related field, indicating advanced knowledge and commitment to the field. Experience with diverse student populations, including those with varying abilities, cultures, and backgrounds. Familiarity with technology and digital tools used in special education, such as adaptive software and communication apps. Knowledge of best practices in special education, including Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Differentiated Instruction.
