About the Role We are looking for a personable, enthusiastic, and motivated team player to fill the critical role of Insurance Customer Service Representative. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing client communications, nurturing important relationships, and keeping track of policy details and documentation in a secured system. Your primary focus will be on delivering exceptional client services, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible support and guidance throughout their insurance journey. Key Responsibilities Support clients in reporting claims on current policies by gathering all necessary documentation and providing it to the adjuster for processing Record any policy updates or changes on customer accounts, tracking them in our book of business and communicating with clients to explain any updates to their coverage Assist with the renewal process and any policy updates by providing competitive quotes and ensuring that clients are aware of any changes or updates to their policies Provide clear and concise answers to clients' questions regarding coverage or billing, including information on rate fluctuations or policy changes, to ensure that they have a full understanding of their insurance policies Stay up-to-date with industry standards, current rates, coverages, insurance products, insurance policies, and carriers by regularly speaking with our industry partners and attending training sessions Review current clients' coverage needs to determine if updates or changes are warranted, and communicate clear responses to coverage or billing inquiries Process and document calls, emails, and policy updates in a timely and efficient manner Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and great follow-up skills. You should be highly organized, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and have a strong attention to detail. Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) are also essential. Essential Qualifications An active insurance license in Minnesota, or the willingness to obtain one within 30 days of hiring Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box Great follow-up skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously Basic computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Preferred Qualifications Insurance experience as an insurance agent or in a related position, although we will provide training as needed for the right candidate Knowledge of industry standards, current rates, coverages, insurance products, insurance policies, and carriers Experience working in a fast-paced office environment, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously Career Growth and Development At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
