Experienced Hotel HVAC Technician – Full-Time Central Air Expert for arenaflex

Job Summary We are looking for a full-time Hotel HVAC Technician to work Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm, at our hotel located near Billy Graham Turnpike in Charlotte. As a central air expert, you will be responsible for reviewing, fixing, and maintaining air conditioning, air quality control, and refrigeration equipment. Key Responsibilities Review, fix, and maintain air conditioning, air quality control, and refrigeration equipment (e.g., boilers, chillers, and air handling units/controls) Perform minor plumbing and mechanical works for air conditioning systems and equipment as required Monitor and inspect central air plant/hardware, switches, valves, checks, alarms, safety devices, and meters to identify leaks or malfunctions and ensure that equipment is operating efficiently and safely Maintain the engineering area in a safe, clean, and organized manner and coordinate with other engineering staff for smooth operations Equipment Experience The ideal candidate will have experience with the following equipment: PTAC A/C Units VTAC A/C Units Water Source Heat Pump Make Up Air A/C Rooftop Top Unit Natural Air A/C Units Split A/C Units Refrigeration equipment, including reach-in business refrigerators, reach-in business freezers, walk-in coolers and freezers, brew coolers, and ice machines Chiller systems, cooling tower and pumps Evaporator systems Water heaters Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must have: At least 3 years of experience in HVAC systems A technical, trade, or professional certification or certificate in HVAC HVAC certification A valid driver's license Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: A bachelor's degree in a related field Experience working in a hotel or hospitality environment Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures, OSHA regulations, and other HVAC safety protocols Skills and Competencies The successful candidate will possess the following skills and competencies: Ability to collect, install, test, and troubleshoot HVAC equipment Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC devices and instrumentation Understanding of maintenance inventory and ordering of parts and supplies as needed Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work independently and as part of a team Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
