As a remote-based call center, we offer a flexible and dynamic work environment that allows our team members to thrive in a fast-paced setting. **Responsibilities** As a Healthcare Customer Service Expert - Phone Intake Representative, you will be responsible for handling approximately 60-65 inbound calls per day, ranging from healthcare service requests to more complex inquiries. Your primary responsibilities will include: * **Call Handling**: Servicing incoming calls from providers, referral sources, and patients through an inbound phone queue, utilizing multiple applications and a dual monitor setup to assist customers with services. * **Customer Assistance**: Providing information and answering questions related to service registration, durable medical equipment, home healthcare services, and other healthcare-related topics. * **Call Types**: Handling various call types, including inquiry calls, new service requests, and other customer inquiries. * **Work Schedule**: Working an 8-hour shift with a scheduled 30-minute lunch break and scheduled breaks throughout the day. **A Day in the Life of a Phone Intake Associate** As a Phone Intake Associate, you will work from home in a remote and high-volume healthcare call center environment. Your day will be filled with: * Handling a high volume of inbound calls, utilizing your exceptional communication and problem-solving skills to resolve customer inquiries and issues. * Collaborating with your team to achieve individual and team performance targets, including call average handle time (AHT), quality of call, attendance, adherence, and other contact center objectives. * Staying up-to-date on company policies, including HIPAA/PHI regulations, and adhering to all relevant guidelines and procedures. * Contributing to a positive team environment, bringing enthusiasm, fun, and enjoyment to your work. **Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you will need: * **Education**: A High School Diploma or GED. * **Experience**: A minimum of 2 years of customer service experience in a call center environment, and 1 year working in healthcare with medical terminology. * **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in navigating dual monitors and multiple applications, typing at a speed of 30 WPM, and performing data entry while actively listening. * **Search Engine Use**: Competence in tasks like clicking, troubleshooting, opening a browser, bookmarking sites, and navigating with back/forward buttons. * **PC Skills**: Basic skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams for communication and scheduling meetings. * **Assessment**: A passing score on the SHL Customer Service Phone Simulation Assessment is required to proceed in the interview process. **What We Offer** As a valued member of the blithequark team, you can expect: * **Competitive Pay**: Starting pay of $17.50/hour, with monthly bonus incentives. * **Formal Training**: Comprehensive training and nesting hours, including a 5-week program with Monday-Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm EST hours. * **Flexible Schedule**: Available shifts after training and nesting, including Monday-Friday, 11:30am to 8:00pm EST. * **Opportunities for Growth**: Career growth opportunities and learning benefits to help you advance in your career. * **Work-Life Balance**: A remote work environment that allows you to balance your work and personal life. **Why Join blithequark?** At blithequark, we are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of those we serve.
