Job Summary We're looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Goods Receiving Agent to join our remote team. As a key member of our receiving team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth receipt, accounting, and distribution of products to our stores. Key Responsibilities As a Goods Receiving Agent, you'll be responsible for the following key tasks: Validating products received against purchase orders and supplier paperwork to ensure accuracy and prevent errors Confirming product integrity and temperature control throughout the day Processing invoices and ensuring timely payment to suppliers Delivering copies of invoices to relevant departments and storing processed paperwork Staying up-to-date with receiving standards and meeting objectives Communicating with vendors about account status and resolving any issues Supporting accounting processes during inventory and financial period wrap-up Maintaining the operational condition of balers, compactors, and environmental areas Participating in mandatory training and meetings, and adhering to scheduled shifts Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need: A minimum of 1 year of experience in retail or a related field 12 months or more of experience in distribution or reception is a plus Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and stand or walk for 6-8 hours during an 8-hour shift Flexibility to work weekends, nights, and holidays as required Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications would be beneficial: Experience with inventory management software and systems Knowledge of food safety protocols and quality control procedures Ability to train colleagues on product knowledge and motivate them to have a passion for the product Experience with heavy machinery and tools, such as forklifts and balers Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you'll need to demonstrate the following skills and competencies: Attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Organizational and time management skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Whole Foods Market, we're committed to helping our team members grow and develop their careers.
