Position Synopsis We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacist Consultant to join our team at Omnicare. As a Pharmacist Consultant, you will have the unique opportunity to collaborate with facility leaders and staff to coordinate pharmacy services within long-term care facilities. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our clients receive high-quality care and services. Key Responsibilities As a Pharmacist Consultant, your primary responsibilities will include: Ensuring facilities stay compliant and aligned with federal regulations Completing clinical reviews as required by federal and state regulations Providing issue resolution and early warning signs of potential issues Driving adoption of Omnicare programs and service offerings Leveraging existing client relationships to promote and drive organic growth, as well as new business Conducting Director Reviews and other client meetings as required Collaborating with Account Management, Sales, Operations, and relevant corporate functions to meet overall site goals and objectives Performing Medication Regimen Reviews (MRR) as outlined by regulations or contracts for facility type and providing written reports of these reviews to relevant facility staff Spending an appropriate amount of time in every resident's review as defined by their clinical needs Using OSC2OR software locally to generate MRR, including therapeutic interchange and Omnicare clinical program-related recommendations, and documenting responses to past recommendations Utilizing the "Base Information database" (MDS 3.0) health assessment tool to identify specific residents requiring targeted interventions Completing the "Quality Improvement: Consultant Pharmacist Summary Report" for each relevant facility and sending this and the "Summary for Professional Services" after every month of consulting has been completed Educating facility staff, including the Director of Nursing, Clinical Director, and Administrator, when new programs are implemented and carrying out specific roles expected of new programs to be led by a Consultant Pharmacist Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: Active pharmacy license in good standing in Massachusetts Ability to travel to long-term care facilities located throughout Massachusetts Vaccination against COVID-19 or ability to become vaccination-confirmed B.S. in Pharmacy or PharmD degree required Preferred Qualifications: Rhode Island pharmacist license in good standing, or ability to become dually licensed 3 years of experience in a clinical pharmacy practice 1 year of long-term care pharmacy practice Accreditation in geriatrics and gerontology is preferred What We Offer As a CVS Health team member, you'll enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including: Competitive salary of $28-$35/hour Full-time, benefit-qualified position Opportunities for career growth and professional development Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance Employee Stock Purchase Program 401K with company match Liberal employee discount at all CVS stores Work Environment and Culture At CVS Health, we're committed to creating a work environment that's inclusive, diverse, and supportive.
