Job Overview and Responsibilities As a Warehouse Lead, you will play a critical role in assisting our Warehouse Manager and Supervisor(s) in all areas of warehouse operations. Your primary responsibilities will include providing leadership to the team, training and evaluating warehouse personnel, and maintaining expertise in all areas of warehouse operations. You will be responsible for leading and directing the daily activities of warehouse teammates, ensuring the safe and successful completion of all related daily warehouse activities and operations. Verifying and ensuring all applicable warehouse processes are followed, including handling damaged product check-in and other specific areas of responsibility as assigned by the Warehouse Manager and/or Supervisor(s) Training and leading warehouse personnel, evaluating processes, and striving for continuous improvements Communicating with Warehouse Management and Warehouse Personnel regarding identified process improvements, personnel improvements, quality, Out-of-Stocks (OOS), and other relevant topics Leading and modeling the safety culture, striving for 100% compliance with safety policies and procedures Supporting, leading, and motivating a team to deliver results by communicating company goals, safety practices, and deadlines; engaging and developing teammates through effective on-the-job coaching and training; implementing continuous improvement methods while maintaining customer focus; and embodying company purpose and values to inspire servant leadership Assisting in interviewing potential candidates and influencing and advising management on performance management matters Essential Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills: High school diploma or GED Knowledge acquired through 1 to 3 years of work experience in a warehouse or logistics environment Extensive knowledge of all warehouse processes and systems Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced atmosphere Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet Explorer Ability to work in a noisy and non-climate-controlled environment (hot in summer, cold in winter) and lift up to 75 lbs Ability to collaborate within a team environment and coordinate and organize efficient and dependable warehouse processes Ability to adapt to the needs of the role in different work areas throughout the workday and meet minimum expectations of those different work areas Attention to detail and ability to differentiate packages Intentional self-starter who takes initiative and proactively seeks out value-add opportunities Flexibility (schedules, hours change with the demands of the business) Preferred Qualifications and Certifications While not required, the following preferred qualifications and certifications will be considered an asset: PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) Certification: Pallet Jack, Forklift, Double Forklift, Hy-Jaws, Ty-Guard, Triple Double, Switch Tractor, and Floor Scrubber Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Workwarp, we are committed to helping our teammates grow and develop in their careers. Compensation, Perks, and Benefits We offer a competitive salary range of $17.60 - $22.00 per hour, depending on experience.
