As a key member of our Orchestration crew, you'll be responsible for building software for a large-scale data processing environment that supports real-time and batch data for our flagship streaming services, including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, and Star+. You'll work closely with our team to design and develop cloud-based data solutions using AWS and other cutting-edge technologies. **Responsibilities and Duties** As a Full Stack Software Engineer at arenaflex, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of exciting projects, including: * Leading a cross-functional team of engineers to build software for a large-scale data processing environment * Building tools and services to support data discovery, lineage, resiliency, and privacy compliance across the data platform * Designing and implementing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) methods for infrastructure components to ensure high availability and agility * Driving software engineering and architecture best practices and standards within the team and wider organization * Providing mentorship and guidance to team members, evangelizing the platform, best practices, and data-driven decision-making * Identifying new use cases and features and driving adoption **Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training** To be successful in this role, you'll need: * 3+ years of relevant professional experience * Fluency in Python and Scala * Deep experience deploying and operating cloud-based data solutions (ideally AWS) and infrastructure-as-code frameworks like Terraform * Ability to dive deep into any technical issue and understand and drive the overall system architecture * A passion for craftsmanship in software development and a willingness to work backwards from the customer experience * Excellent written and verbal communication skills **Preferred Qualifications** * Master's degree in Computer Science or related field * Experience maintaining real-time data infrastructure, including Kinesis or Kafka * Expertise with workflow scheduler tools, including Airflow * Experience with Scala, Python, Terraform, and AWS **About arenaflex Direct to Consumer** arenaflex's Direct to Consumer team oversees the Hulu and Disney+ streaming services within arenaflex Entertainment, helping to bring The Walt Disney Company's world-class storytelling to fans and families everywhere. **About The Walt Disney Company** The Walt Disney Company, together with its subsidiaries and affiliates, is a leading diversified global family entertainment and media company with the following business segments: Disney Entertainment, ESPN, Disney Parks, and Experiences and Products. The base pay actually provided will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related understanding, skills, and experience, among other factors.
