Our data platform teams play a critical role in helping us make data-driven decisions and deliver personalized experiences to our members. **The Role** As a full stack software engineer on our data platform team, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of exciting projects, from building scalable data pipelines to designing and implementing high-performance data storage solutions. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and TPMs, to drive business outcomes and deliver exceptional results. **Key Responsibilities** * Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance web and cloud applications using Java, Python, and other programming languages * Collaborate with data engineers and scientists to build and maintain large-scale data pipelines and storage solutions * Work with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes and deliver exceptional results * Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices and standards for software development * Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the industry and apply that knowledge to drive innovation and improvement **Focus Areas** * **Database Access Stage**: Our Database Access Stage team builds and maintains an adaptable query interface that works with data reflections to achieve sub-millisecond latencies while allowing Netflix microservices to more easily store, consume, and manage their data. * **Data Stage Foundation**: Our Data Stage Foundation team serves as a platform for our own data platforms. Our common framework and tooling enable Netflix to rapidly enhance on giving cutting-edge data and analytics frameworks to the rest of the organization without building customized platforms for each new framework. * **Big Data Figure**: Responsible for providing the cloud-native stage for distributed data processing at Netflix. This group is critical to batch data processing in Data Stage. It offers support for Flash, to ETL data into the Petabytes-scale data warehouse and access that data using Flash and Voila/TrinoDB. * **Big Data Arrangement**: Offers the stage for planning, organizing and executing huge information occupations and work processes in a self serve way.
